Re: Silent outrunner and ESC for less then $60

So, I am looking to run this ESC with a smaller diameter (size 28/26) outrunner that is 2200kv.
Should I use the 1.64 2000kv or the 1.64 2500 kv?

Also, how does one make the brushed setting?
I'm still very muche trying to understand the booth and software to use with the esc...

I think it was posted above in a reply to my question. I think we have a new esc option joao.

I ant to run one in my super with my 770kv outrunner on 6s.

I am pretty sure that the esc and software only works reliable up o 1400Kv. ;-)
I am a electrics noob too so dont take my word for it.

I have popped FETs immediately trying to run a 2500kv revolver. Seems that 1800kv is the upper limit of the wraith32 esc at the moment.

I have other boards in the mail to be tested. Im particularly interested in the capabilities of Metal FET boards.

I have the wraith32 v1.1 and that's what I will be trying to setup...
It would be nice to have a list of what ESC are known to work.

We know that it works with the wraith 32 v1.1 but it seams we can't find them anymore.
Looks like it will also work with the Wraith32 50A and the Wraith32 v2.1.

On another subject I didn't understand this:

Using direct connect you can use an Arduino Nano flashed from the make interfaces tab of BLHeliSuite32 or download the Arduino INO file from my drive. I dont know if this works with other Arduino Boards, if you know Arduino then you should be able to figure it out looking at the pins in the code.

The new volume, and input settings are only available for firmware 1.65 and Higher.

There is also some firmware that allows BL32 ESC's to be used with brushed motors. But there are not settings to configure as of yet. I tested it on a scx24 and it had noticeably more torque then stock.

How does it work and why do we need an arduino nano?
Programing/Arduinos, flashing ESC is not something I am familiar with so I need it "eplained for dummys"...
I can solder and follow a procedure, but without one I'm lost....

Damn, ,my STLink+ESC is not recognized by the STM32 Cube Programmer....

The usb device is on the device manager with drivers. Tried to install drivers and told me it already has the latest ones.
All wires are well plugged in.

Happened to anyone?

can you explain where are the swc and swd on the board? and whether the process is the same as v1?

Thanks so much, this makes sense, I will look into a 35mm diameter motor.

Are you on 2s or 3s?

Usualy 4s

Yes they can run brushed motors. But it uses a diffrent firmware. There isnt an option to use it from the configuration tool.

A custom firmware might be able to fire all three phases together, this would offer forward only, no reverse.

They go forward and reverse.

V1.1 seems to be out of stock.

Pretty sure the v2 is done the same and the pads are just photoshoped out of all the online pictures along with the mosfet info.

That is a different mcu and firmware. I am pretty sure on the wraith one side is just inactive. But if you want it this way for 2 motors i am sure alka can make it happen.

The firmware on my google drive has diffrent settings for the wraith then the ones from github. Mine have half the amp draw at startup. This keeps the esc much cooler during the super slow crawling. Which version did you have installed when it popped?

Yea thats what JRH said. But he was on diffrent firmware and hardware.

My scx24 had a 3600kv motor that worked fine on 3s. I didnt try 4s. I did need to tweak the firmware for the smaller motor to crawl slow though.

But over 1400kv isnt a huge issue. I only have a 1800kv 540 though. It runs well.

I dont have a 1000kv to compare it too though, which alka said is better.

I feel like its conflicting info from 2 people that know way more then me.

The arduino is the conect to the servo wire to tweak settings and update firmware like a castlelink after the bootloader has been flashed with the st-link

Re: Silent outrunner and ESC for less then $60

Sorry for so many individual replies, but its easier on taptalk this way. I plan on making videos. Pretty much any blheli32 esc that has a ST chip should work. Ones that say G-Arm will not, like the hollybro metal esc. You can usualy see this in the pictures. But i have only tested the wraith 35a and 50a and the iflight 50a or maybe 55a.

There is a compatability list on Alka's am32 github in the readme.

:ror: I thought so! I ordered a 3S a few days ago and just before checking out, on a whim I've added a 4S to the order :).

Thanks for all the info in here!

I only stop at 4s because that's the voltage limit of my servos.
over that and I need a more expensive BEC.
The esc can do 6s too, if your motor can handle it.
Just watch the temps.

Hi guys
is this possible to Flash an Iflight 45A SuceeX slick.
Is there any pinout for these Esc?
How can i upload a photo here?
THX

Re: Silent outrunner and ESC for less then $60

yes you can flash the iflight but there is no full firmware, the swd and swc are the pads on the side with no square pad.
https://i.ibb.co/TWmCk61/iflight-45a.jpg
using the ST-link you need to upload the bootloader PB4 to 0x08000000 and the IFlight target to 0x08001000
then with the flight controller connected to the pwm & -, in the esc configuration tool you need to send default settings
