Default Is the Noble NB4 about to get a 12ch firmware update?

I just noticed that Flysky has released a new 12ch ground receiver with model number FGr12B. Does this mean that the nb4 is about to go 12ch? I remember them doing something similar when they went to 8ch where the 8ch receiver came out and then a couple of months later the firmware upgrade followed.

I’d agree with that. I’ve been looking hard at getting one. Are you an owner? How do you like it?

TH, ST, ESC Aux, dig, 4WS, LED's, Winch... then add some scale details like a dump bed or something. I do have a hard time seeing 12ch in a crawler but the scaler guys who do construction equipment can add up.

In a crawler/scaler, you really don't need 12 channels. The simple rigs you just need 2-3 channels, and a more complicated rig (TRX4 with 2-speed and lockers), you can easily "need" six channels.

But, with custom builds, crawler-based or not, a large channel count radio is very convenient.

With this build I am using a DX6e with two RXs, one for the chassis, one for the crane.

Project: M8 TRX6

With this build I used a 12-ch aircraft radio, and its functionality didn't really work out quite right, and that had to do with the channel-slaving of the programmed flight modes, and the radio not have an "open-channel" mode so that all of the channel could be freely assigned (not uncommon for flight radios). So, a 12 or 18 channel pistol radio would be a lot more convenient.

Shorty Project In The Works....

I'll say the NB4 is one of the best surface radios I've ever used. The mixing was a little tricky at first but now I have that sorted and its amazing. Low latency, solid radio link, killer features. Can't really beat it for the price.
