Default Holmes BR-XL motor limit

Tldr:. It's is safe to run a 775/795 (500kv equivalent) on 6s off the BR-XL.

I was wondering if there is a motor limit for the brxl for 775/795 motor.

I'm basically messing around with some spare parts and cobbled together a mud truck of sorts. AR60 axles on a trx4 chassis.

I'm currently running a 775 motor (1000kv equivalent) off a hobbywing 1080 on 3s. It's decent but I would like a bit more torque and I'm hoping to swap over to a BR-XL with a 775/795 motor (500kv equivalent) on 6s lipo.

Thanks.

Default Re: Holmes BR-XL motor limit

i dont have a real answer to that but ill say this ive run 775 can motors on 4s on a cheap esc with no issues i did have a 60 amp esc flame on though when the truck went out of range and took off full throtle and hit a wall and stalled the motor poof lol

the 775 cans dont draw much more than a 550 can motor so my guess would be its fine but those arent cheap i would still ask holmsboy he did make them after all
