Default Radios and independent steering

Hey,

I know some of you out there are running independent front & rear steering. I was wondering how you guys hook this up.

I was toying with the idea of using and old 4 channel stick radio from an R/C plane so both servos could be opperated independently on the fly. Is there any way to accomplish this same concept with a pistol style radio?

Any help is appreciated.

I've got independent 4ws with my Futaba 3PDFX. I use the 3rd channel switch for the rear. I made it have 3 positions instead of linear because the movement was too slow. I had 4ws on a stick radio for a while as well, but that was kind of annoying to use. Some pistol radios have a knob for the 3rd channel, which even better.

i use my Traxxas 3 channel controller for mine. since my trans is locked in 1st gear, i have the open channel. a buddy re-soldered a 3 way switch in there instead of the 2 way for the shifter
