I'm going to get one of these for my capra for sure. I almost ordered the other day, but my 1:1 crawler needed some parts so I held off for now.

Good call! Perfect motor/kv for a Capra. Now I’m gonna have to spend $150 on my Capra. Lol

Has anyone installed this in a CAPRA yet? I have the CAPRA 4WS version and I'm curious if you still have to do any modifications to make this work with the stock skid/motor mount.

The Fusion Pro 2300KV does not come with a programming card. Just FYI to everyone.
It is sold with a sticker that can be placed on top of the sticker of a HW programming card.
I just taped it on to program. If I need to program my other HW speed controls I can just pull the tape and still have the original sticker.

I'm going to go WAAAAAY out on a limb here, and say (assume?) that anyone getting the Fusion Pro probably already has a HW programming card.

True...but, at the same time, I prefer programming by computer, as there is considerably greater programming options.

I have like a dozen programming cards, a programming box, a USB link, and the Bluetooth module, no programming card is actually a positive for me since I’m running out of room for them.

Exactly the point I was making. Like you, I have all of the above (well...except I have considerably less than a dozen programming cards), and I do like that HW includes the cards. However, the way Castle does it is better, and smarter.

First, instead of physically including a programming device in every box, they include a 'certificate', with a printed code, giving buyers the "option" to get, or not get, the programming device (which buyers can submit either via mail, or website). This way, those who need a programming device can have one...and, those who have no need aren't "wasting" something. Second, they give the buyer the option of selecting between the USB programmer (Castle Link), or (for a very minor additional fee) the programming card.

I'm not saying HW isn't 'good'...HW products are great (although, their customer service leaves MUCH to be desired)...but, maybe HW could "take a page from Castle's book", and rethink their strategy in getting programming devices to customers.

A few weeks ago, I installed the Fusion Pro into the TRX4 I was building for my stepdad. Programming via the HW card was quick & easy. My stepdad loves it. He can move it forward millimeter-by-millimeter.

I put one in my 4ws capra. Had to shave the upper control arm mount.

How's the drag brake on the new Fusion Pro? I held off on the Fusion previously as the drag brake didn't have an active setting like on the AXE.

Is there any chance a set of pros will fit in an XR10?

I have the 1800 and drag brake is solid. So i expect the pro to be at least as good. Hold seems comparable on the fusion 1800 to the axe I have in my heavier scaler which will hold that chunker damn near vertical, tires loose grip long before wheels even think of turning. My gatekeeper the fusion 1800 hasn't moved yet but it's quite a bit lighter. The drag brake performance is why I went hobbywing set ups over others in similar price range.

Gotta agree with what tigris99 said. I have 2 rigs (Element “Ecto”keeper, and a Gmade GS02 Komodo Double Cab) equipped with Fusion 1800s and the tires will break traction before the drag brake gives. Super solid hold and I would expect the 2300 to be as good, but don’t own a 2300………..yet.
