Default Hobbywing xerun SCT pro

Has anyone used this as a crawler esc? My most important concerns are instant forward/reverse and a good drag brake. I have a wraith and it's used for trail riding and crawling. I'm currently using a timbuk2 and want to run more than 2s

I have one. It will go instant forward or reverse if the rotor isn't spinning. If you are already going forward it makes sure the rotor stops before you can have reverse. It is ok if you need reverse to keep from going over backwards but you won't be able to go forward-reverse-forward-reverse to roll yourself back over when you are on your roof.

It's ok for trailing but a mamba max pro would be a better choice.

If you do get one don't use the newest firmware. The startup is way to fast on the new firmware but is much better on any of the older firmware.

I have a Hobbywing Justock in my G1 crawler that runs on 3S. Works great!

The Justock have drag break and "instant" forward/reverse but there is a slight delay when going from forward to reverse and vice versa. Not too annoying though... Works with both sensored and non sensored motors.

This is the setup i have installed in mine, however mine is still in progress of being build (almost complete) but these combos have great reviews and are capable of doing everything you posted according to the specs and literature. No first hand experience yet though, nice tip about the firmware, will look out for that on mine.
