Default servo thread

I remember sometime in the last 6 months (I know, that really narrows it down) reading about some servos from a cheap electronics store overseas. Seems they were going for $10-$15 and had pretty decent torque. Anybody have this store or know which thread? I looked through the first 30 pages and didn't see anything.

Thanks,
Casey

Are you thinking about those Bluebirds I think they were called? Blue something. I know those were talked about as being inexpensive and decent.

I don't think they were Bluebirds. They were even more generic than those. This e-bay store had them and had all sorts of radios and stuff. I think they had 6 channel radios for $50 or something. I searched on here for an hour and came up empty. Oh well. Thanks for any help.

Thanks,
Casey

There's a long thread somewhere about Towerpro's, who's had good performance or bad, who's had good service or bad from X vendor, etc. There are quite a few vendors moving these out of Hong Kong, even 1 or 2 in China.
I just won an auction for 2 995's, hopefully they get here ok from Hong Kong, and they work ok when they do.

2 995's are installed in my rig - testing will take place this afternoon.
Appearance-wise, they look nice. Good fit/finish. The wire is heavier gauge then I've ever seen on any other brand servo.
Vendor was plus2_rc out of Hong Kong - delivered in 10 days.

1 pack down and so far these seem like real good servos.
At one point I actually used my rear steer to flip the rig off it's side.
No heat at all, they did'nt even start to get warm.
There was a bit of glitchiness sometimes as the servos were working, but very slight. No glitching while sitting or driving straight.
If these have decent longevity, they are gonna be good to go.
I would be still driving, but it's raining AGAIN...
