Question Waterproofing the switch?

Hello, I searched but could not find an answer. I am building a scale trail rig and I am water proofing everything on it. The electronics will be in a water tight box on the chassis and that will be covered by a hard body. I want to be able to turn the truck on and off by mounting the switch to the frame. How does one water proof the switch on the ESC? Just cover the back of it with liquid electrical tape and try to get as much dielectric grease in it as possiable? Or is there a better way? Or does it even matter? I have a small water proof toggle switch, could a person use that or would the resistance be to high?
Thank you for the help.

It really doesnt matter, but your toggle switch would work. I just hack all my plugs off and use the battery plug to turn it on and off.

Thanks. I like what you did with the switches and think I will go that route as well.

Seems to work good so far... I juse used the tops off some of the big roundy like balloons on the switch and zapstrapped it wih a tiny one to keep it from mvoing... Then I stuffed it thru the hole I cut for it and lined it with high heat silicine (all I had at the time) and so far hasn't let a drop of water in yet... I haven't had it in any kind of submerging situation but it does keep the wet outta my electronics nively...

the switch on my moped is not waterproofed and I have had it submerged several times over and everything works fine still. I would not advise doing this although.

put the switch in a balloon and seal up the hole kind of like what daviolentone did except no tupperware , should work well ,especially if you use a really small balloon
