Default Motor Getting hot.

HI i have just got a old buggy going and i think it has the 27t tamiya motor. It has not been run in years the motor. The motor is running with a 17t pinion. COUld it just be that the motor is getting hot and that once it gets working again will it cool down abit? I have checked and nothing is binding

Thanks

james

Hmmm... Mebbe give it a spray with some motor spray then give it a quick dunk in water with 4 cells on it for a few seconds... Then give it really good dousing with the motor spray again... Oil the bushings and try it again...

If it hasn't been run for a few years, it may need some care to get it back into shape... Give the above a try and see if that helps.. If not, then it may have just sat too long... The stock Mabuchi motors aren't that expensive anyways... They cost less than a can of motor spray, actually...
