| 100% Waterproofed
I have talked to many crawlers and also an electrical engineer from the US ARMY and this is what I came up with. There is an electrical spray coating that is used by the Army on their circut boards to keep them protected. I sprayed a couple of layers on all my servo, esc, reciever boards. I was told just doing this will be waterproofed, but I wanted to be 100% sure that I am not going to spend $200.00 on new electronics cuz I wanted to take my rig in the creek. So I then filled all the servos with vaseline to ease my mind about them.As for the reciever and esc. I used 1.5 inch shrink tubing cut to length and sealed up the ends with hot glue.So there's a few ideas from a few people that should no doubt make your rig ok to dump in the water. And here's a couple of pics. Now off to the rive I go |

The protective spray is $17.00 / can. every time I take my truck out the esc never even gets clost to getting warm at all. so I guess time will tell if it does overheat. I'll keep you posted on that matter |

| I bought it from a local electronics store called Potter's Electronics in Seaside,CA. I never made it to the river cuz I was tsting to see if my ESC was going to get hot like other members said and broke my front wheel axle last night,,,,,bummer. The ESC seemed to do well though, like I said before time will tell with that.It is a tazer esc so it has a lifetime warranty!!.any ways try calling them and see if it can be shipped,if not I can get some for you. |

I'm gonna bet taking the ESC apart and spraying the circuit board with a coating will void your lifetime warranty. |
