| Stupid DuraTrax esc....
I should have took all your guy's advice and just gotten the Novak esc from the get go Here's my electronics setup... -TLT axled crawler- MM w/ 3 capacitors solder on DuraTrax Intellispeed 16T 7.2V 3000mah main pack Hitec 645MG Hitec FM 3 channel receiver I get major throttle stutter. The truck will leap like almost like I'm getting radio interference. To top it all off the big powerful 645MG can barely turn the wheels at a stand still. Hooked up a 6V receiver pack from my Savage and HEY all problems eliminated. Very retarded I need to run two packs for 1 motor and servo Now the problem would be the BEC right? This esc's bec is 5V/1.0A and I see the regular rooster is .5A so that would be even worse correct? SO what should I do...live with the DuraCrap and use a 6V pack OR just do it right and get a Novak ESC? |

Id say live with what you have. Unless your not on a budget, then go ahead and get the Super Rooster.

You can build your own external BEC with a little know how. It will save you running the two packs and is not really to hard with a little soldering skills. ....numchuk skills...tetherball skills...bowstaff skills...soldering skills.... It is based around a voltage requlator that you can pick up at radio shack. I can email you a pdf of instructions if you'd like. It may cost about 2-5 bucks to make. You can send me a PM with you email address, or just email me by following the link on the clodmodracing.com webpage in the upper left corner. If anyone wants the instructions, email me. |
