The XRS will work with a 2 cell lipo, but you will need a voltage cutoff to prevent damage to the lipo. I believe novak makes one. Lipo of choice-- what motor you running?

The higherst mah 2/3a is the ELite 1500.

I would give it 20 minutes based on your current runtimes. Sounds like something is either binding in your drivetrain, your batteries are crapped out, or you are not just crawling around. You should get longer runtimes than that.

You should be getting a lot better run times than that with an 1100mah cap cells. I have a 6-cell 1100mah that I get 30-40 min of runtime on my heavy a$$ pig Cab-Over that has a 55turn it it.
Like JRH said, either something is seriously binding in your drivetrain, your batteries are old or are cr@ping out... OR, your charger isn't giving a full charge. Do you have a decent charger? Peak charger?
