Default novack xrs/rx pack help

OK guys can some one show me how to hook up 5 cell rx pack in use w/rc18t 6 cell battery pack. To a novack XRS. W/full charge on battery when turnning wheels some times every thing stops. If I let go of steering wheel. Rig will go straight w/ no prob. so I think I need an rx pack to fix this.

You need to remove the red wire from the 3 pin plug that goes from the XRS to the receiver. You can cut the wire or just use a small screwdriver or an x-acto blade to pry up the little tab on the connector and then pull the wire out. That way you can easily put it back the way it was if you need to. I believe that you will still have to use the on/off switch though.

Red wire removed: switch yes...
Red wire NOT removed: switch no...

I HIGHLY recommend yanking the red wire to prevent any kinda mis-hap...

Like this:

Then you know yer not gonna cook the ESC's BEC if someone who doesn't know turns the switch on... I run an EVX with an RX pack and I need to use the ESC on/off switch to turn the ESC on...

Take an xacto blade, hobby knife, box cutter, precision screwdriver.. Whatever you can fit under the little tab that holds the wires plug in the main plug...

That's all there is to it... Leaving the red wire like that will allow to reprogram the ESC easily if you get another radio setup or anything changes... Just put the red wire itslef into the RX's battery slot into the the same lead where the red wires from the servo(s) and ESC plug into... Don't even need to put it back into the ESC's RX plug...

thank you guys very much .I was talking with LHS the guy was tell me that my servo was over extending cusing it to heat up and stall out.Told me to move steering link up on servo arm. So servo will hit end points. So I did that work great on one side nochted other side. so now servo turns wheels just a hair from tlt axles stops.
ran rig every thing worked great:-P
