best thing to do is email futaba and ask if this is available for that radio and rx .it's not a tuning thats needed,it needs the frequency to be changed to a ground frequency

well for most ground radios the frequencies are either 27 mhz or 75 mhz. and the air ones are a bit different i think. i dont know much about planes.

a lesson is needed what controlls what frequency of say 27mhz or 75mhz or any other frequency isn't the crystal.it's the module on some hi-end radios and on the others it's internal and would need internal parts on the curcuit board to change the mzh frequency.
all the crystall's do is change a certain channel in that particular mzh range.in other words you can't take a setof crystals from a 27 mhz radio and put it in a 75 mhz radio or any other for that matter.crystals need to be on it's own frequincy with the radio and rx to work.
i'm sure some one can give a much better explaination of this then me.

so it is something like this....... the radio is hardwired for either 72 or 75 on a broad
scale and the crystals control the narrow side within that....... Maybe?

all I got to say is that in my own backyard, with the mast down.....'nuf said'

thanks for the life lesson:'do my homework, buy the right stuff the first tme, and K.I.S.S. '
