| charger acting funny....
so i bought 3 3300 mah batteries for a good deal at my LHS (something like $20 each) and a Dynamite Vision Peak 2 charger. The first time i charged it, it would start charging for a few minutes, then stop and go back into "standby" mode. i thought this was just because they were brand new batteries. but now that i've used them several times it still does the same thing. after the batteries are about 1/3 or half-charged then it continues charging til they are peaked. though they get charged, it's kind of annoying. esspecially when i try to charge off my car battery while crawling, i keep having to push the charge button. no matter what amperage setting i have it on (4 amps, 2 amps, or 1 amp) it still does the same thing. i run my batteries pretty low because with the lathe motors i don't lose much performance til the batteries get really low. should i just run them til half charge and then put them on the charger? or is there something wrong with the charger? |

should i just run them til half charge and then put them on the charger? or is there something wrong with the charger? wellll.........it is kinda both...i have sold alot of those chargers at the LHS i work at and i have seen that several times...it is somehow a function of the peak detect works (or doesn't) you can just run those halfway down or get a better charger like a super brain or something higher end...it also COULD be a bad cell in the batteries (yes this does happen with new packs from time to time)...a good rule of thumb is the better the batteries you buy the better the charger you need to charge them |

well, i dont think it's a bad cell in the packs because all 3 of mine do that. i guess i can just live with it. not really in the mood to drop $100 on a new charger.
