Default Motor choice

I have been doing a lot of reading, and am getting tired of the way my maxx crawler is performing. I have tried a 55t with and without a gd600 and it will climb anything with the 600, but without it has no power. I also tried a 75t by itself and had the same issues not enough power, but the wheel speed was ok. I am running a pede tranny with an 11t pinion and 90t spur, and 40 series moabs. I was wondering if I could get a decent amount of wheel speed and power by going brushless. Also if brushless is the way to go which one would be better, I am pretty sure that the JRH setup will be best, but I want to ask since the hyperion is out of stock and I want everything to work. If I would be better to wait til it's back in stock I will. Here are my 2 choices:

1. Novak crawler system

2. Hyperion z3025-08 w/mamba max (from JRH)
6.7oz 985kv

An outrunner would certainly get you power. I would recommend an outrunner of 5 ounces or more for your maxx. The other option you have is to run a higher voltage. What voltage are you running on the 75t? 12 cells and a gd-600 will give you lots of power too.

Right now I have a 6c 3800mAh pack. The power is nice with the 600 just would like more wheelspeed. I will have to try 12 cells and the 75t to see what I can get for power. Thanks.
