In my experience the axel snappers work much better with more voltage. I ran my 2.2 with a snapper, a rx pack, and 7.2 volt stick pack. the motor is very smooth but NO wheel speed. It got bogged down too. I would put as many cells on it as your ESC will allow, or gat an axiom 45t. The axiom comes with the com cut and are almost as smooth as the snapper, and don't require any more than 7.2 volts. Thats why I retired my snapper after only a few runs.
