| 17 turn speed gem? too much?
i would like to build a scale crawler and use a 17 turn speed gems motor. i'm wondering if it would not have enough torque. it's gonna be that or a 35 turn lathe, but i'm not looking for a truck that can climb a wall. it has to be fast too.

Get a 45t lathe that will work well for trail use.

I run 65T motor and stock 13T pinions and it's a good combo, 55T would be better for bashing

sounds like the new novak brushless crawler system is what you need if you want a trail truck with speed and torque.

I run a 27T in my scaler. Climbs well and has pretty good wheel speed. Thanks, Casey |

Get a Kyosho Magnatic Mayhem it's a 22 turn, plenty of torque and wheel speed.
