Default rx glitch caused by motor?

I have my rx mounted in the oem battery box of my wk (mounted battery in custom tray in front of chassis), and the antenna coils around part of the chassis and then runs up to the front right by the motor (~1cm away) and thru one of the holes in the body mount. I'm getting some intermitant glitching, especially in reverse (posted something similar in the wk forum) and when the truck gets farther away. Could this be caused my motor interference or is just the crappy oem rx and tx?

Just wondering if it's even possible to have a motor cause inferference if teh antenna is too close to it...

Antenna close to the motor or it wrapped around the chassis. Not a good thing to wrap the antenna around metal. You want it insulated from all metal.
Try getting a scrap piece of lexan from the trimmings of a body, about an inch
thick and around 4 inches long and drill 2 rows of holes along the length. Then run the wire back and forth between the holes for the whole lenght. Then double sided tape one end of it to the chassis so that the antenna wire is not touching the chassis and you have an instant holder.

Yeah, a motor is an extreme source of glitching, especially for thinly insulated antenna wire.

The antenna wire needs to be by itself and not near any other wires or the motor. the farther the seperation the better. I try to mount my RX about 4 - 6" away from the motor and the antenna wire away from metal and isolated as much as possible
