Default Mamba max motor compatiblity question

I was just told that "the mamba max does not like anything except 2 pole "

Seems weird to me since I have read nothing but good things on this forum about Mamba max
Any issues with the ESC when running 3 pole motors, outrunners, BM16 ????

Thank you

Who told you that? I don't know of any hobby motors that are two pole. Search, tons of people here are running outrunners with MM's.

He said this "
The Mamba Max ESC does NOT like anything except 2 pole motors. It won't work with multi pole motors, like outrunners.

The mamba doesn't do well when they are under a heavy geared up load. For crawling they work well. Most outrunners are 12 pole. An inrunner motor will be two pole unless it is a neu motor and maybe plettenburg.

Wow ,
Whats a inrunner motor, Brushed?

Guess I need to catch up on motor technology lol

Are the brushless crawl motors outrunners, what's the differance, outrunner versus inrunner ?

interesting that we have so many builds going on this forum but many lack the Real details (specs) , they are rarely listed even up front on buildplan.

I heard they don't like Neu motors, which they're working on software for. 4 pole if I remember.
