Default Got my Mamba Max

Just got it set up!The drag grake isn't quite as strong as I thought it would be, but She doesn't rool back any more. Still rolls forward a bit on a 45 though but a definite improvement!

Start up powe? rLow high or off?

I've searched and there is nothing about cutoff voltage or punch control.
I'm real curious about punch control cuz It's jumpy off the line even with just a hair on the trigger. A new radio with EPA's wouldn't help would it?
Any suggestions on settings greatly appreciated! My sig lists the build.
Edit:96/15 gearingV10 55t motor , Mamba max esc, Rock claws

As soon as I get the rooster crawler in I will test them against each other for drag brake. I bet we could get castle to increase drag.

What percent of drag brake are you running? Mine is at 85%, and will barely move under the rigs weight on about a 75 degree down slope, and I mean barely, maybe 1/4" per second.

The drag brake wont hold it at a 45! Is it just cuz I'm brushed. It holds fine nose up but half as much nose down

Well it holds great on the upslopes but not so well at all on the downs. Could it be aall the weight in front pulling it down?Maybe 4oz in rear tires and 2.25 up front instead of 4 in front and 2.25 in back? Seems kinda sele defeating though!

you need to check your throttle adjustments. at the last sercrc comp one of the guys had the same problem. what ended up happening was that he didnt have his throttle adjustment right. he had it too close to reverse so it didnt hold on the downhill

we had one of our members run dual rooster esc on his super and they held like a champ on almost a straight down hill. he even had to bump the throttle to get it to slide down

i think it is called the throttle trim. i just know that it is the throttle adjustment on your radio. i know on the dx3 it is to the right of the steering knob and on the tq3 it is a knob that says throttle.

it is the same concept as using the steering trim to center your tires straight

the epa's are for servos unless they call it the same for the throttle.

Thumbs down

Just got back from Meldrum bar park and the brake situation is still the same. Got a Futaba PL or LP ,whatever, 2 channel with EPA's and set 'em to 115 ,calibrated, and the drag brake still is considerably weaker going down than up. I'm just trying to fix this cuz I am not wealthy so 135 bucks for what feels like 50% drag at best is buggin' me out. Is there something I have overlooked or does it seem weird to ya'll too? Open to suggestions

check your brake setting in your program and make sure it is 100%. also the epa should have nothing to do with the brake. the epa deal with the servos.
