Default motor wont spin on start

I've got a hand wound 60t that is in the front of a clod, the endbell has been spun 180 to reverse the windings, running off a MMax.

The problem is that just recently it has stopped running properly, what it does is when I give the truck throttle in any amount it will not start to spin till I give the tires a boost, forward or reverse. I cleaned the brushes, which are nearly new, cleaned the comm as well, Any Ideas what could be causing this??

there have been several problems like this and jrh helped me out with this in telling me that the armatures stop between the magnes then no longer go until you push it! i sorted this problem with me buying a new motor. i took the original motor apart countless times and nothing seemed to happen!

Yeah, that's a flat spot on the comm, or something like that.

Cut the comm, and it should work, as it did in your case.
