Default troubles

First off I'll say that this is my first elec. rc so sorry if this is a dumb question...

I have a MM w/ 60 hand wound lathe integy motor, a jr racing 125 receiver, and a 8 cell 2/3 a elite batt pack.

the problem..

With a little playing around I get the MM to take throttle inputs but the truck just jumps around and does not move. The steering works fine but the truck will not go forward or reverse?? (with the motor free from the drive train it will go at low throttle but gets wierd at full throttle.)

Is it a bad connection?? ..crappy receiver? ..or????

any help would be great

Is your battery fully charged? Is your reciever/ESC programmed correctly?

Did you configure the MM ESC to run in 'Brushed' mode?? It sounds like it may be in a default 'Brushless' Mode.
