Default Another Li-po question

What is the voltage supposed to be on a 3 cell after it has been fully charged? I pulled mine off the charger last night (before the charger was done) and it is sitting at 12.6 volts.... Is this normal?

As far as I recall a LiPo cell is 3,7V "empty" and 4,2V full.

So at 3.7V per cell that makes it a 11.1V empty, but my novak 3 cell li-po cut off will let the battery drop to 9.4V "safely". That is 3.12V per cell so now I am still confused. Plus my charger was not done charging when I pulled the battery off the charger with 12.6V (4.2V per cell).

So I answered my question.. Lipo cells can't drop below 3V, and can't be charged above 4.235V. That is 9V dead (3 cell) and 12.7V fully charged.

3.12 is allitle low. most concure about 3.3 volts per cell is about as low as you want to go for best battery life. any lower and the batteries punch and life falls off in a hurry.

what charger? id leave the battery on until its done. unless the charger is not either the right kind, (for lipo) or set wrong and is heating them up. your balance charging them right?

I'll go with that thanks.

I have an E-flight lipo charger, but I have not yet purchased a balance charger. You reccomend one over another? I have a big battery so one that puts out alot of amps would be nice..

most of the e-flight chargers have a built in balancer they are great bargains.
thats what i use for my t-rex batterys.

o and dont go pumpin a bunch of amps in your lipo either. that'll killem quick just the same.

I have a 8400mah pack and I can only charge it at 1 amp.. That takes forever For some reason my charger turns off when I try to charge it on 2 and 1.5 amps. The charger I use does not have a balancer jack it just plug it in normal, but you are saying that I can still get a balance charge?
