| Battery Question(s)!?
Alright so i FINALLY got the tuber runnin and I decided that I would go with my old(ish) 1400 2/3 amp cells, that I had in my rc18t, on the axle like everyone else. So I soldered them into a offset cube to clear the knuckles. I was thinking that it didn't really give me the torque I had before so I was thinking a 7- however many a mamba 25 can take (I'm getting one + a park 400 or a revolver soon) to get more volts, therefore more torque. I was thinking http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/main.asp?sid=843632& could make me a pack. Then I got to thinking, what if I connected a 3300 sub- c in there with it to raise the mah (and the amps?). So i guess my questions would be; 1.) Can a sub-c cell be connected with 2/3 amp cells in a series? 2.) What does amps give me? And how many amps are sub- c's? 3.) What would the mah rating be for a /////pack with 6 2/3 amp 1500's and 1 sub-c 3300///// connected in parallel to a /////pack with 6 2/3 amp 1500's and 1 sub-c 3300///// 4.) How many 2/3 amp cells you guys running? Thats it I think. Thanks in advance for the help! |

Holy crap dude, please do not even try any of that if you have to ask those questions. 1. The amps that a cell has depends on which cell it is, ie. brand and size. 2. NEVER NEVER NEVER mix cells of a different mah. 3. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER mix cells of a different size!!!!! If you were to do this you would exaust the smaller cells first, then they would be ruined while the larger cells continue to discarge, this would create heat and posibly vent your cells. I would sugest going over to cheapbatterypacks.com looking up some individual cells to see the different mah and amp ratings. Then talk to them about a pack that will work best for your application. They can build you a custom pack for sometimes cheaper than production packs. |

Just have CBP make you a pack with 2/3A cells, and dont mix and match batteries. Just run one pack at a time.

I think I'm gonna run 2 7 cell 2/3 amp packs wired in parallel that should give me a 3000 mah 8.4 v pack which would be perfect. The weight won't be an issue b/c I only have star and channeled fronts; no weights. I'd be just like adding wheel weight. Offset brick would fit perfect on each side of the wk axle. Also on CBP what do they give you if you don't select the option "optimize pack"? Volts give you punch, mah gives you time, amps give you _______? | |

Yes, the extremely thin metal strips cannot compare to the thick solid copper bars. Basically, the battery is more efficient at charging and discharging energy. This all helps to squeeze out all of the useable energy. The bars they will use if you select the option are here. Click Seventh item down
