Thats a good idea, if thermal paste works for CPU's it should work good for servos too. Temps don't get too hot here in northern IL, nothing like AZ, but I'm gonna try this anyway, thanks 666.

The servos are simply amazing, my truck fell off a 50ft cliff and sheared both aluminuim horns and the servos still work. It's been a 1year now running on these servos and they still work great.
Sometimes you actually get what you pay for, thanks Mnster, I will be picking up some 5955's.

I don't have problems with the 5955's, the key for me is good steering geometry and properly set EPA's. Plus the heat paste trick helps a bit, up to 20 degree differance I noticed.

Gotta agree here. 5955s seem to take the heat better than most, but the paste trick seems to keep them going well. EPAs are set, and I could use slightly better steering geometry but no problems yet.

Although even with paste, I did smoke a 5845 on the rear of my super. But then again I run my servos off of a dedicated Rx pack, one pack for each steering servo. Plenty of power and speed with the 5955s!

I have only ran 5995 and 5955, I like the 5955 better stays cooler, torque wise they are same.
Everybody is right Spend the Dime, or you will regret it. 300oz or better

I did some Searching and read about a test on 5955 and the 8711 and the fact that power is lost when they heat up,
so I may be buying another servo

I ordered two 5955's yesterday after much deliberation, I seriously considered the 8711's, but I decided to stick with Hitec. I will be using the paste trick too. Thanks again for all of the advice.

JIA runs 5955's now on his super. The 359's are good but strip a gear from time to time. I have one, it serves it's duty on the TXT.
