Default powering led's

well as i was reassembling the FJ after having it powder coated, i was installing the batt pack for the lights when it dawned on me....why not use the regulator power to run the lights an deliminate the extra weight? seems to work fine....seems so simple, but why didnt i think of it before? :-?

You've got to make sure you are not drawing much more than 20ma, or your lights will be short lived.
