Default Nomadio React signal problem

I have a standard React/transceiver set up on my crawler and am having issues with the trasceiver just quiting after a few minutes/seconds of running. I have a digital steering servo and Mamba Max SC as well as a brushless motor and I am running servo power through the transceiver.

What seems to happen is I lose all signal after a seemingly random amount of time and under no particular circumstance (just sitting there or under a high load). Usually it's less than 1-2 minutes. I can turn off/on the SC and it will come back for just a few more seconds and then lose signal again. The signal strength on the transmitter goes to zip and the light on the transceiver goes out completely. I know there is still power going through the system as the steering servo still has power to it.

Any help is appreciated on what to check next or if I need to start replacing parts.

Thanks
Tim

Doesn't that Tx and Rx have an automatic shut down if the Tx power falls below 9.6v?

Also I believe they have there own website/ forum for FAQ. I don't have the radio just trying to toss out some basic idea's.

It does have a low power limit, but the problam occurs with 12v on the car side and a full charge on the radio too. I also posted on the Nomadio site. I appreciate the help.

If that Tx ever sees 9.6 volts, it's up in smoke. It runs on a 4.8 volt pack.

Only a few things to try if you want to diagnose the problem youself. First things first, make sure the transmitter and the transceiver both have the latest firmware updates on them. Mine worked fine when I first took it out of the box, then I had hell with glitching and signal loss when I updated the transmitter and not the transceiver. When I finally got around to updating the transceiver, the problem went away.

If that doesn't take care of it, take it to a open area, unplug the steering servo and drive it in forward and reverse only for a few minutes and see if the problem is still there. When I had a 645MG servo in my truck and it got bound up, it would stut off the transceiver briefly because of the spike in amp draw. When I put in a more powerful servo, the DS8611, the problem went away, as the more powerful servo working properly draws fewer amps than a weaker servo in a bind. I know you said it would do it even under no load, but a faulty servo could possibly have a short or some other condition that could spike the amp draw.

The last thing to try is reconnect the steering and install a rx pack battery. Then drive it normally and see what happens. If neither of these fixes it then you've eliminated all outside factors that could be causing your problem, and it's internal and you'll just have to send the transeiver in for warranty.

Thanks. I have updated the firmware, and am putting together an Rx pack this weekend. In the meantime I will try the steering servo test and see if that's it.

Thanks
