Why does the power cut off?

Bran new setup , Mamba x and BM16 outrunner motor 6 cell or 8 cell sub C 4500.

The mamba max beeps when inching forward and as I get about 1 foot up of crawling it stops and starts rolling down ?

How do I fix ?

Are you using a BEC? What is your Gearing? Do you have a voltage cutoff set?

Hey John, I knew you would chim in

Have a BEC straight from battery to servo. Have not yet swapped out for your castle Bec .
only the Mamba provides power to AR6000 rec.
The BEC has a switch for 6 volt or Power -?all power or 7.2 volt not sure)

8 tooth, can't go smaller, using RC4wd 2 speed tranny.
But I will try bolting up my Puller 4:1 tranny between motor and RC4WD trans

If I bolt in my puller tranny should I go with a 14 tooth pinion to the 4wd tranny

Thanks a million rocks

Ahh, your tranny is the cuplrit I bet, the two speed doesn't have much geardown. Throw the 4:1 on there with the 8 tooth, use the 8 cell pack. That should fix it. Then start to gear up or volt up to get wheelspeed back. a 14t pinion might be pretty good, but I would still try it first with the 8t to make sure the problem isn't elsewhere.

Throw the 4:1 on there anyway and see what happens. Probably overgeared or undervolted.

It only started when I threw in the Mamba x and the BM16. It was fine with my Rebel 2 and 55t brushed, same battery

What do you think now?

maybe brushless or bm16 is not the way to go

The bm-16 likes a 3 cell lipo for sure.

Brushless takes more time to get it right, you have to gear and volt it to match the vehicle. If there is too much load on the motor the ESC can't control it. If a bit of work is too much for you then brushless is not the way to go for you.
