Default Axi 2212?

Anyone running an AXI outrunner style motor on their AX10. I saw a recommendation for them in the electrics forum, but I don't know if they were reffering to a 2.2 class rig. I plan on using a Mamba Max to run it. Any plus/minus info would be apreciated. Also any Amp rating suggestions - /20,/26, or /34

I used to run one. I would suggest a 3 cell lipo or 9 cell nimh. A 25 amp ESC is enough, but the mamba max will be very nice.

I ran one on my wheely king, the 2212 likes deep gearing and higher voltage on a light rig. As my weight went up, I eventually switched to a 2808 for more torque, but then started breaking stuff. If you keep your rig light, the 2212 will work good, but you need to keep the gearing low to minimize cogging. The high voltage will bring back your wheel speed.

I've been running a 2212-26 for about two years now. My experience has pretty much been the same. Gear down, volt up. I think you could get away with one of those 8-cell saddle packs. I used to get by on 6 cells but my rig barely weighed 4 lbs. I've fattened it up to about 5.5 lbs now and run an 11V lipo; more than enough wheelspeed. I also upgraded from a Mamba-25 to the Mamba Max just because the 25 seemed to get a little bit hot running such high voltage.
