| Mamba Max from Tower
I just ordered a whole slew of parts from Tower Hobbies, and I was not 100% sure from the directions if the castle link came with the ESC or not. Does anyone know?

It does not come with the Castle Link, you do not need it for a Mamba Max. It does come with a USB cable that will connect it to your PC.

MM comes with the cord and a disc to load the program onto the computer. Most of the time you will need to download directly from castle's site to make it work. EDIT..damn he's fast Last edited by DeaDShorT; 12-16-2007 at 05:42 PM. |

Thanks guys. I was afraid if I ordered it, it would come with it and would not be worth sending back. And of course if I didn't, that one more setback in getting my truck going.

However, you will want a Castle BEC to go with the Mamba and for that you will need the Castle Link. ;)

The MM comes with a USB cable and the Castle Link software. The BEC comes with nothing. A USB cable, a physical Castle Link adapter & a copy of the software all come seperatly. You may want to hold off on ordering from Tower though. I ordered my BEC from them last week, just got it and apparently it's bad. Actually, it works to power stuff, but it doesn't take to being programmed. |
