Size wise, the 2200 should be roughly half the size or at least a bit smaller than a 5000.

The 5000 will allow allot more run time than the 2200 concidering they are both made from the same quality cell.

Is the extra run time needed? Thats up to you. Most comp crawlers and basher crawlers can get by with a quality 1500 mah 2/3a pack. Allot depends on your motor choice, gearing and overall weight. Some guys get an hour out of a 1500 pack but they are running higher turn motors and low gears. Some comp crawlers are running a bit more power and taller gears for wheelspeed. A set up like than will get a bit lower run times but better performance.

Last season I ran a 2 cell lipo that was 2100 mah in my 2.2 Hustler pushing a Mamba 25/850 kv Crawlmaster. I could get around 30-45 minutes run time depending on how much I held it wide open, which was quite a bit

You'll find allot of good quality electronics for a great price at Holmes Hobbies.

think of the capacity as the size of the fuel tank on your nitro's. bigger the tank, longer the runtime.

hey guys, since were on the subject, How many times do you guys charge your new NIMH's at a low amp rating? Do you slowly raise the amp rating to desired setting or can you just charge it at low for a few times then bump it all the way up to 3 amps?

1.5 amps for 2/3a cells
2.5 amps for sub C's

Good for the cells and charges in a timely manor.

Thats up to you. NEVER said it was the ONLY way to charge.

Thats what I charge my cells at and they hold a good charge. I've never lost a cell from getting them to hot. Most of the cells I've got,I've been running them for nearly 4 years without an issue.

Sounds good man. You would know better than me. I don't mind charging .5 amps lower to save my batt life. Thanks for the tip. For new NIMH, should I charge them at 1 amp or should I go even lower? does it matter?
