Default waterproofing a servo for $10

That still doesn't seal up the front of te case were the gear comes out though, so it's still just as vonerable as before. Slap an o-ring around that gear so it will seal up when you put the horn on and it should be good to go though.

or just only plasti dip the internal parts instead

i just put some vasoline around the gear and opening , and i never thought you can put this stuff on the inside ,doesn't it ruin the inside, can you show some pics maybe??

i donīt have the highlift anymore
but you only plasti dip the board so the motor kan still get wet but that is not a problem

Use silicon dielectric grease to fill the servo case. That's what I do and I have yet to fry anything.

^x2..this is the best way to water proof a servo. Dipping the servo usually works, but it also keeps in heat. It doesn't always seal 100% and you end up with condensation. You don't need to fill the entire case with the grease all of the time. Cases with aluminum heat sinks generally fit pretty tight as is and only need a little gasket, then some around the output spline. Works awesome.
