Default Volt up - Grear down Enduro style

All the choices.....

Motor choices on 3s. Coming from an Axial Bomber a 3500kv was a popular choice but man that seems like it might be overkill for a 1.9 crawler rig.

I'm leaning towards going with another 2700kv and a 17t pinion (believe that is the lowest we can go stock right?)

Thoughts?

yeah it comes with a 16t stock, so 17 would be the wrong way, yes?

im still fine on the stock 16t on 3S but that's with the stock brushed motor too. you brushless kids are crazy and mileage may vary...

*related but not really: would it be not-so-great to run brushless on these rigs and try quick rips with say mamba X with remote/aux wire drag brake on/off? considering the front OD gearing the result could be less than favorable, no?
just for those coming from a bomber or similar 1:1 geared rigs with brushless to consider...

I thought the manual said 18t but either way good news on that front if I need to take it down to a 14t for crawling.

That does make good sense in that regard. I'll have to decide what else to run off the aux/extra channel.
