Default Enduro Utility Bed

I really have been impressed so far with this rig. I installed the factory utility bed but I am unhappy with how it mounts to the chassis. I wanted to ask you guys if anyone has run into or heard of a flip your lid style mod for this utility bed to secure it to the frame of the truck?

I can't answer your question, but welcome to the site! Great looking truck. I love the wheels.

For those who don't have the utility bed...how does it currently attach out of the package?

The utility bed mounts with 8 screws and plates to the back of the cab of the body and uses the original rear body posts. The rear cage that I built is using the rear most screw hole of the bumper mount like an Axial swivel. Very durable that way.

Some nice terrain you have there too...looks like a great spot to wheel!

The pictures were taken at Fort Richardson here in Jacksboro TX. It is a really great place to wheel with tons of rocks. All situated next to a beautiful creek. Any Texans on here?

Pretty far from me then. I am wanting to try and find some people closer to my area that are into the hobby. Surely there are some Dallas-Ft worth guys on here. If you are ever up this way give me a shout.

Got it! I see it now. I was confused on where the attachment point was on the bed portion. I can see the posts sticking up in a few pictures.

I feel like you'd almost have to fashion some brackets to get a more sturdy mount or a hinge system.

I am really hoping someone on here that has the utility bed will come up with a 3D printed solution for this. I would certainly be willing to pay for it. I would think others would as well.

I'll admit that at first I didn't mind it mounting using the stock body posts. Now that I've made the new version which uses the pivot I find it quite handy. Now I need to find some of the frame rail body post mounts to get rid of the posts through the hood is next on the list!

So you are using the factory utility bed? If so post some pictures of what you did for the mount in the rear please.

I built this out of some brake tubing. Tried to keep it simple and yet have it hinge and still be removable.

That looks great. I will have to do something similar. I guess that’s the front bumper mount you are using in the rear?
