Default RX's Newage crawler

I figured I'd go ahead and build my newest crawler. I have no intention of running it in it's current stock configuration, but I always have to build it stock first then take it apart.

I have some integy 55t lathe motors coming for it.
I picked up a new DX-6 reciever in case I want to go dual esc and rear steer, if not I'll use my DX3R and mirco switches for dig.

I've also have some VF Stalker wheels coming for it and will probably be trying out some CAC Tuckers too.

I may try to use the stock chassis and make new links or use a GC-1 chassis, I haven't deceided yet. The stock shocks look like they will work nice with soem fuel tubing to limit the flex.

But for now here is how a stock roller looks....

I know I hear they can't crawl at all. May just have to turn it into a rock racer. Got any 9t motors I can borrow? Maybe I can put 2 5 turn cobalts in it!!!

No thanks I'm going to stick to some 55t on 11.1 volts. I wouldn't want to stray too far from the norm.

They are a little over 10¾ with the sinner 2s. With the "tucker" outer they should be around 10¼...that is an educated guess. I'll know soon enough.

One mans trash is another mans treasure

I tried throwing it in the trash but it kept crawling out. Straight up the verticle sides of the can. The only way I could get it to stop was to take the motors and esc out.

i cant wait for mine to show up. watching all these posts is making me even more impatient!!

those tucker wheels are really nice. just cant see spending that much for a 1/2 inch. i already have the sinner 2's i think i will just run those. 10 3/4 isn't that bad.

I'm with you. I put my VF Stalker wheels on it and they are 10¼ doesn't really seem that much narrower that 10¾. But I'm sure once it's ¼ from a gate it wil seem like alot more.

Since you alreay have the sinners you could just buy the Tucker outer ring. You don't have to buy a whole new wheel. $16 x 4 plus shippng.
