Default Berg Newage EnRoute Beadlock thread...

Well we all know sometimes wider is NOT better. Case in point: the stock beadlocks that come with the EnRoute Berg kit. As cool as it is that a crawler kit actually comes standard with an aluminum beadlock wheelset, the offset of these suckers puts the overall track width just a bit too wide for the ideal 2.2 comp rig set-up. So, what is available out there that will keep these Berg rigs at a respectable track width?

Here is what I have found so far.
Please post info/specs on these I may have gotten wrong. If there are others I missed please post them also.

Well, I guess there are plenty of those rim-sets out there that the info is good for the used market also.

The stock rims seem to be the same offset as the axial offset. I guess the track width would depend upon the width of the rims.

BTW, great thread.

As stated elsewhere on the site, all products will still be available as I own DNA. We have a ton of rims making their way out this afternoon to TCS as a matter of fact.

Just throwing this out there as an option to the "standard" wheels listed above. Remember that there are Vendors here that are willing to work with you, in a professional manner, and create wheels to the perfect offset you desire.

Eritex Inc (Gerame, formerly known as RD400, and past products known as Ericson Beadlocks) worked with me, and built my custom wheels to the exact dimensions I wanted, for less than a couple of the "standard" wheels shown above cost. Of course you will pay for custom work, but it won't be outrageous knowing that no other person out there has wheels just like your's, and your wheels fit perfectly on your rig.

I like my wheels wider than many others out there, and now I have a set of wide beadlocks that keep my front track width with standard axles at 10.5". Using the same wheels, but modifying the axle puts my rear track at 9.5".

And to be honest, the damn things are sexy too!!!

Maybe I am just dumb for asking this, but can somebody who is using some of these wheels post the widths. I can read the specs, but some of them seem to be from outside of tire to outside of tire, some from outside of ring and others are without rings. I thought the Prolines may be a nice cheap rim until I make a final decision, but they are the same width (outside of tire to outside of tire) as my Eritex Comp Heavies w/Panthers (10 5/8", compared a friends Berg w/Prolines and same tires). I would like to get that closer to 10" if possible.

I like the VP's (not the price, but the adjustability), so if anyone has measurements of width (to the outside of the tires) with the narrowest spacers, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also can't wait to see the new Berg offset narrower rims Eritex cut for some locals.

with the narrowest offset in the VP revolver DH pro running panther tires is 10.5" on the dot (maybe 1/32 narrower)

just figured i put this in here since its informative about wheels. these are the new delrin berg offset mayhem 7s. track width at the outside of the tires (proline hammers) is exactly 10", much better than with the proline bead locks that were on the truck.

10" on the dot

so pretty
