| Top Banana/Berg build
Well I have been working on this for the past week and thought I would share. Specs: Chassis: Top Banana Axles: Berg (of course) Shocks: 80mm with cut Losi whites ESC: Tekin FX-R Pro Motors: V10 50 turn Dig setup w/ rear free wheel and rear lock WB: 12.5" GC: 3" with the Panthers Still in the testing phase as some saw at RCP Friday Night Fights last Friday the body was not even painted then. On to the pic's they can say more than I can. As it started to come together What else are you going to paint a Banana? And under the hood some of the Dig And some flex Things to come: rear lockouts and fix the steering for starters, Mayhem wheels on the way. The rig handles well in the rocks but at the moment it don't climb all that great, I might need to add more weight. Thanks for looking. 73mule |

Thanks BoNus. Very stable platform with the low COG. Just have to find that magic set of foams to run in the Panthers, it climbs better with Claws right now.

Yes very low profile only have some of the wires above the tires. I will take some better pics tonight. Both switches work the rear motor. The top switch kills the power to the motor for free wheel (once you over come the magnet power). The lower switch shorts the poles for the drag. |

I ajusted the endpoints and subtrim just like my VF dig. In 4wd the switches are not used. In the freewheel just the top switch is activated to kill the power to the motor. For the final poss the servo horn is activating both switches (to keep the power off and short the poles on the motor). On the back of the switches not all of the posts are used, pics will show that better than I can try to explain. |

How "free" is the freewheel setting with your dig? I know it just has to overcome the magnets, but I'm curious how much it would still drag.

The freewheel is not as free as a VF or driveline dig. On the grippy rocks it works good, on slicker stuff you realy can not tell a difference. I have found it works better if you pop it into freewheel while the rig is rolling. For the 2wd vert stuff, it acts just like it's in dig, so no big plus there.

Here are some better pics of the dig switches Also worked on the steering, this is what I came up with. Full lock to lock and gained some clearance under the axle. Every thing is close but there is clearance. |
