I'm pretty sure Tower carries them. Edit: they do. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFEA5&P=7 Are the Berg gears Metric? I thought I read somewhere they were standard? Last edited by dezfan; 06-30-2008 at 10:26 AM. |

The Berg gears are metric and you can get them at a main. I believe the other places that carry them will have them in the near future as well.

They are metric, I used Tamiya as we have a pretty big Tamiya inventory, they call it 06 module. I am running 14T on 55T motors and have comp wheelspeed to 35T 14/87 Axial tranny |

Ordered 12's and a 13 tooth. I figured I'd try the different ratios in each axle I really like it's effect in my super.

Front pulls a little sooner then the rear. Really keeps the truck straight on climbs. Sort of like a FWD in snow. The rear at a higher ratio allows it to stall less then the front. 12 rear 13 front |

| Nice, that was always a no-no in the 1:1 world or shaft driven world but I guess since its independent it doesnt matter. I might try that I'll have to get an 11t rear.

I can confirm that they are not 48p "SAE" gears nor 0.5 Mod. There isn't proper mesh by my visual check. 0.6 Mod seems to be the best fit, and I have an assortment of 12-17t pinions on the way. I am also hitting up a pinion cutter to see if we can get 11 or 10t pinions made.
