First Off I want to thanks Don at DNA for the Great wheels for this build!!! You do great work!!!

Sorry no built thread!!! Not a lot you can do differently with these axles, just add motors, change the lock outs and rotate the motors up. Could change pinions but I didn't, YET!!! Still working of setting the Radio up so I have not been on the rocks yet.

Enroute Berg axles
Panther Cougars
Kreepy Krawler Ruby Red foams
2-55T Integy motors

No, I made the HB chassis. This rig is made for the big breakovers. It has 5" ground clearance in the center.

What is a HB chassis?

Looks like it'll be tipsy. Much too much ground clearance. Who knows it might work for you. I doubt it'll handle off cambers that great.

Simply a home made chassis. Simple design to handle the breakovers that keep bottoming everyone out. Simliar to a torsion setup but not totally. Trying to think outside the box, and come up with something different. It may not work, but the original prototype I had of this was pretty good on the rocks. With the addition of the Berg axles I hope it will be even better. Plan to run it this weekend.

Yeah, you'll never know till you try it. So, HB=home built?

If your area has alot of huge breakovers, I guess this is the ticket.

Yeah, in most circles HB usually means 'home brewed' or 'home built' where some just state it more obviously as DIY and the dyslexic use DYI.

I like that but it's not what I had in mind when I named it. But that's good, too. I like it.

Is this the same type of chassis you have on your WK a while back? Like the body choice look good.

RUN2, Not exactly the same but their close. This is a better setup for sure. The WK was sort of the prototype for this one. The old WK worked fairly well over the rocks but the transmission just wouldn't handle the torque necessary to crawl in hard situations. Thanks for the compliment on the body.

Well I went to an event today. I did not drive well at all. It rained early, we were in an area with sand and rocks. The traction was not good. The panthers, the way I had them setup with foams just did not do well at all. But I'll take the blame for bad driving. I'm not going to give up yet on the new rig, I need more driving time.
