Default 45t and 35t lathe motors and wheelspeed...

Ill be starting my berg build pretty soon and I'm looking at the lathe motors I've got here. I've got a pair of new 35t integy lathes and a pair of new 45t integy lathes. Before I start soldering, I figured I'd ask. Ill be running 11.1v 20C lipos and a sidewinder esc, Would 35 turns be too fast?

I'm running 35s on 3S. But I have this really high tech throttle control feature on my radio.

It's called a finger.:-P

I have 45T lathe motors with stock gearing and they seem to be plenty fast enough for me. I think if i went with 35t it would only be with some HH 540 motors.

i'm running my berg with HH 35t motors with stock pinions and a 11.1V 20c lipo. i love my setup but i have a tenacious to rock race during our comps. more than enough wheel speed and enough torque for the crawl with my fancy finger at the trigger...

I dont think the integy 35t's will have enough low end control. I would go with the 45's. Try it, and switch if you have to... LAZY!!

I ran 35t Axioms @ 11.1V and had crazy fast speed and low run times. With 45ts, I still have more than enough speed and easily getting 45+ minutes.

I would do the 45T's. I run Integy 55T's with 3C in mine and I think I have a ton of wheel speed and still very good low speed control and torque.

My 55t's with 11.2v is twice as fast as my AX-10 55t 7.4V with same control.

oh i didn't know you're were looking for run times too... got thru 3 courses (about 15 minutes) rocking at full throttle... checked the lipo at home... started at 12.3v down to 11.5v... figure i can get about 40 minutes total run time with the hh 35t, fxr, hs-5955 steering, and hs-82 dig...

I was running 45t on 4s and went to 55t on 4s wheel speed is fine on 4s and the low spped control of the 55t motors more than make up for the high end. So of the 2 I would go with 45t nover 35t
