Default Berg where to put batteries for 2 x ESC

Hey people, just built my berg. But dont know where i will be installing my 2 x Novak Rooster ESC + 2 x 7.2V Battery packs :-(

There seem to be no place, well actually i figured out that i can fit the escs by doing a mod to the center front and rear joints but where shall i put the batteries ??

By the way can i run 2 x Novak 55 motors with one Novak Rooster ESC???

I donno about the Rooster, but that is why most guys run a single ESC that can take a 3s lipo... tiny as hell and super light.

What size batteries? Why 2 batteries?

Yes you can run two 55t's with the rooster.

Oh i see so i can run two motors with one ESC, thats great well actually not as i bought two.

Re batteries i will be using 3300nimh 7 cell pack. By the way using a 7 cell instread of a 6 cell will give me more run time or more power ??

Thanks guys

Higher voltage= more wheel speed. No reason to run two batteries either.

You might be able to mount the battery on the skid plate with the electronics above it. Hard to say without any pics

Default batteries

ck the manual for the roosters - no 3 cell lipos and no 7 cell nimh - 2 cell lipo or 6 cell nimh are your options - i would recommend 1 2200 mah 2 cell lipo - just as fast as a 7 cell but keeps the power longer - helps with axle or "clod" stall as well

The Rooster Crawler ESC manual says 2S Lipo max but I ran mine on 3S for over a year with no problems. You just need an external lipo cutoff as the ESC cutoff is set for 2S and can't be changed. I make no guarantees, just saying that I had no issues on 3S lipo with the Rooster, berg axles and dual Novak 55t motors.

I also ran it on 7 cell nimh saddle packs before I switched to Lipo, no issues with them either.

Oops, just saw it in "related threads" and forgot to check the date. Almost 4 years old, that's a personal record for me. At least I'm not trying to get 30 posts.....
