Default Motor/ESC selection

Hi all,
I'm undecided about motor and esc selection of the berg.
I was thinking 2 x sidewinders and 45t's or maybe HH crawlmasters?
the HH site suggests mamba max or Q33's for the crawlmasters!
So then i thought the HH revolvers would be good (no mention of mamba max so i guess they a revolver would run off a sidewinder/mamba 25)
but would they be powerfull enough for these axles if i wanted to make it a super with moab xl's etc??

I'm keen to hear your thoughts.

Just about any motor and Castle ESC's would be powerfull enough with the right voltage/Gearing. I'd go with a nice Brushed motor and the Mamba Max.

So you think 1 mamba max, 2 brushed and dig switches is the go.
that's seems simple enough and would cost no more than 2 crawlmasters and 2 sidewinders.
thanks

Point taken, what about powering it for superclass??
I have ideas of running a stick chassis and setting up the axles to handle either class, i thought i might be able to swap the backbone to an 18" and swapping the wheels for 40 series to run super.
That way i'd kind of have 2 vehicles in one (in OZ we're allowed rear steer in 2.2)
Maybe that's a stupid idea? i'm not very experienced in rc crawling yet so i'm still very much a noob!

Save your money and build one rig at a time. Don't try and build 2 rigs in one. Speically Comp Rigs. It takes a lot of changing parts and a wiring nightmare to make that happen. Since you are new. Build either a Super or 2.2 and see how you like. Then if you still have the Crawler Bug. Build another rig. You will learn alot more and have better rigs this way.

Good point, I will keep it as a 2.2 rig for now as there it's a much more popular class here and then build a super later!
Thanks alot
