Default Ocm Sw3

Well, I've had this truck built for about two months now, so I figured it was time to post it.

OCM Axles
SW3 Chassis
Sidewinder ESC
CC BEC
JR 8711 steering
HS81MG Dig w/ radio shack switches for front AND rear dig
55t motors
Losi Shocks w/ white springs, 10wt oil
Panthers w/ NWT Reach foams
Mayhem WK wheels, modified to fit OCM

Belly clearance is right at 3"

Electro disco tucked away in the Radio Shack project box

Rear housing clocked 18 degrees

Front housing also clocked up 18 degrees

Modified stock skid

Rear lockouts - complements of Bonus Line

This rig don't flex a whole lot, which is something new for me. But I like it and it works very well.

Some action shots from this past weekends Battle Grounds comp

I pulled off my FIRST EVER perfect run in a big comp at Battle Grounds with this truck. Course 3, which was my first course of the day, was -10! I was the only one with a negative score on that course.

Looks hot.

How much belly clearance do you have with that set-up?

Good lookin truck and congrats on the performance! I've come to really prefer a lower amount of articulation.

Whats the chance of you giving a rival A answer about your setup?
I was curious if you are running the soft hybrid in the front or the stiff?

Joe,
I'm running the #8's (soft) in the front, and #5's (firm) in the rear.

Thanks man. I am running the same setup but i am considering tying a set of stiffs in the front after all the front is a pound heavier.
Your rig looks good. How do you like it compared to a shafty?

WOW! A pound heavier?!?! My front is only about 6oz. heavier. I went for a more balanced rig with this one and its working well.

Shafty - well, I have not drove it once since I have built this truck! Both trucks have there places, but the control and feel of this truck is just amazing.

Here's a few updates:

Added some new stickers

Mounted up some new panthers and changed the outer ring on the beadlocks. I like the look of this ring better!

Changed out the ESC! The drag brake doesn't seem to want to hold, so we'll see how they hold now with the Max in there. Also cleaned up the wiring SOME, not alot!

I run a sidewinder in my rig and so far so good.

Yeah, drag brakes. The sidewinder was new when I built it, and they are set at 100%.

I had the Mamba Max sitting there, and the boy really need something other than the XL5 speedo, so I put the sidewinder in his Axial and the Max in my OCM. The drag brake is not what made me change it out.
