Default diesel's BlackJack-Ti berg.

i am finally building a berg based rig, using a double braced Ti blackjack chassis. frankyrizzo and i traded side plates so ive now got two braced sides and he's got two open sides. i had to cut my skid plate as my old link mounting locations wouldn't work with the berg gear cases. the front lower links are the same i ran on my TLT blackjack, the uppers are jato turnbuckles. on the rear we made new bent links with 4mm threaded rod and stainless steel tubing just like the fronts. the uppers are maxx turnbuckles i think. i had them laying around in a parts bin.

specs so far;
-BlackJack Ti chassis
-enroute berg axles
-integy 45t motors
-rizzo dig
-MX-3S radio system
-sidewinder ESC (coming soon)
-mayhem delrin berg bead locks (coming soon)
-hitec 5645 servo (5995tg soon)
-custom servo mount (in the works)
-fubar rear lockouts
-pro-line modified hammers
-aces donuts hybrid memory foams

from the side pic you can see that i drilled new upper link holes. this makes it work much better than using the stock holes. the vertical seperation of the link mounts on the berg is too much for the stock holes on a blackjack. the suspension moves much more freely this way.

actually mine are titanium, so even two open sides would be fine. rizzo is running two open Ti plates.

they aren't available... we only had 8 sets cut out a while back. if theres enough demand a short run might be produced.

update, got the steering hammered out. i cut up a template mount out of styrene and today i fabbed it out of aluminum at the shop. it uses the existing hole in the axle tube and one more than i drilled and tapped into the tube closer to the gearcase. it sets the servo pretty low, well protected. and definetly beefy enough. im not totally thrilled with the drag link/tie rod setup, might try double drag links to increase clearance and ditch the standup servo arm.

Running internal springs for droop? Or just heavy oil for droop, with the externals acting as a sprung combo?

What are the specs of the suspension?

I dig so far...............nice and low!
