Default upper link ?

i noticed in alot of the berg builds people are putting spacers inbetween the the upper links over the axles instead of putting them directly next to the mount , just wondering what benefit ,if any, there is to seperating them?

In my experience it helps keep my truck more stable and the front end grounded better, better articulation as well. I wanted to rotate the rod ends on the front so that they mount flat instead of sideways like on my GC2 but haven't found the best way to do it. Just experiment and see what works best for your setup.

When I spread mine it got rid of the axle steer I had. Didnt hurt the articulation at all.

Why is lowering the roll center a good thing? In 1:1 stuff the opposite is true.

I think the terminology is reversed, assumin all else remians same
low roll center means the point of pivot is lower resulting in a more top heavy vehicle, due to more mass above the roll center.
High roll center means the pont of rotation is raised resulting in more mass below that point

1:1 that would make sence, all the weight is high.

10th scale, most of the weight is below that pivot point. So in my mind the terminology is reversed from 1:1. Thats just in my mind, not sure

Lower roll centre means more body roll on side hills which means less stable vehicle.

That being said I dont know if body roll is a concern for alot of these rigs especially witht he full droop setups that alot are running.
