| Top Banana 2.2 berg, no more blackjack, no more droop.
well after over a year running the BJ i decided i wanted to try something different. (especially since everyone in vegas runs blackjacks.) so a little before nationals i contacted Del Monte and arranged to pick up a Top Banana chassis from him in moab. i assembled it using custom stainless steel lower links and traxxas parts for upper links. im still running the same associated shocks i was with the BJ but now im running sprung with 80wt oil and green and blue associated springs. still running 45t motors, 11.1v lipos, sidewinder, CC BEC, novak XXtra as before. but damn its nice to be sprung again! it won its first comp saturday night, its super stable and the most predictable ive rig driven, anyway onto the pics. |

I really really liked my Bannana, untill it bent. I personally think he needs to do away with the cuts below the shock/upper link mounts.

man this thing kicks ass! paloaltok5 and i hit a local crawl spot for an hour or so today and this thing drove lines that my blackjack never made at all! not knocking the BJ at all but the banana flat out performs! surprisingly it climbed one steep face that ive never made before. didn't get any pics because i was too busy having fun driving a sprung rig again!

Good job on the build. A proven combo. Enjoy. Maybe I'll get out there one of these days so you can really test it. |
