Exclamation stublet's SWX berg

well, I finally switched over to berg axles, I have been very impressed with them so far but I need to get used to the new rig more. I will post up some pics of the rig on the rocks tomorrow, but here is the build-
Specs:
mamba max
5955 servo
55t's
12t pinions
proline 8 shooters bead locks
TQ3
cc bec
losi .9" aka 3.5" shocks
Panther cougars
paint can tops shoo goo'd on the motors

I started by taking everything off of the ax10-

then, since I had a whole day before I got my axles I made my dig and mounted the panthers on the narrower prolines I use a full losi and a full proline standard foam in each tire

got everything mounted up... now for that steering I will let the pictures speak for how I did the steering, I went off the design of nluv's steering

Default gtg pics

we had a get-together at a local crawl spot yesterday and I got some more drive time on the rig, although, I drove CATO's rig and realized that I need to decrease the drastic shock angle, if I can, to get the rig to respond better...
anyway, here's the pics-

well, the rig performed well today, we had a gtg in the freezing cold rain and I came out with second.
I have updated a few things-

-I have switched to the stock axial chassis and losi 4" shocks with a homade lexan skidplate and put a bug body on (the xc-1 doesn't fit too well), I have some 1/2-1/4" external spacers which limit my travel to about 50*-60*

-I bought some mayhem "7" wk offset wheels from Chris Little (they were orange, I painted them black) NO MORE STRIPPED HEXES!:-P

-I also redid my steering servo mount (see pictures)

-I went to ace hardware and got some stainless steel bushings/spacers and made my own lockouts

here's the pictures of the new setup (sorry, I didn't take any pictures at the comp)-

What size exactly is the bushing you used for a lockout? It looked pretty solid today, but I didn't really look all that closely, is it pretty tight? Nice driving today. Long pants might be in order next time though...

If you ever want to braze up a steel tie rod, LMK. I've got the stuff to do it

the i.d. is 1/2" and the O.D. is 5/8".... ish, the fit depends on the fabricator, the first one I did came out perfect, no slop, the second one was cut a hair too short and has a little slop in it. I will still probably wear shorts till a REAL storm comes along
