| Best pack and placement
On the Axial it is pretty simple with the NIMH split pack over the axles, but what is the best NIMH pack configuration and placement for the berg?

A fatty lipo on the chassis IMO. 2200mah 20c or better does well.

I like a small 3 cell lipo on the front upper links on my Berg. Another popular set-up is a 3 cell lipo on top of the skid plate.

Well the best pack I run is a Maxamps 1100 3s. As for Nimh, my 7cell 2/3 pack runs the truck just fine also

I say just run a cheap, old, nimh stick pack for now...... and save up for a good Lipo battery and charger. Once you switch to Lipo you will wonder how you ever ran crappy Nimh packs. I get almost 1 hour of run time with Lipo |

I run a Maxamps 2200 20C heli pack in my zero chassis and it works great. Plus I get around an hour of run time. |

Currently I have a MaxAmps 3S 1100 on the skidplate in place of my 2200, only to try to lose weight. 5.92 ounces compared to 2.85 ounces. | |

I have been running a Common Sense 1000mah 11.1v lipo on my upper links in the front. For whatever reason, I just didn't like that setup on mine. It didn't hinder performance from what I could tell, it just bothered me being there. I have since then hacked out a rear axle mount out of lexan and ordered some 1350mah Common Sense Lipo's. The new bats aren't in yet, but with as low as I have all my guts in my rig sitting, I think they will do ok. I may end up moving it all again, but that's how mine is currently running. I ran it last weekend and didn't notice any changes in performance honestly, but then again it was in the low 30's to upper 20's, and the only thing I was really noticing is how cold my damn hands were lol..
