Spektrum DX3S only has a 2 position 3rd channel. If your looking to have front and rear dig it won't happen. Unless you have a DX3R or another 3 position 3rd channel radio. |

If you want independant control of both you will need 2 esc and the 7ch stick radio with each stick set to each esc/axle. see links True dig with dual ESCs question DX6 settings for dual esc...help? Last edited by j33pownr; 12-02-2008 at 02:16 PM. |

Ok thanks for the reply Yes, I would like both axles to work simultaneously, but also independently; when I get stuck I can vary the rate and direction of my wheels How do you think that will work?, assuming everything else works well. Will I need a dig setup-too? Is that even possible with the 7 channel radio and the berg axles. Thanks |

To do what you want it will require a 7 channel radio and two ESC's. When you do that, you won't need a dig because with the radio set up you have independant control of each axle.

Thanks Ok then Assuming I have the 7 Ch Radio and 2 ESC's How would you set up the Radio , left stick for the rear and Rt stick for the front?. Are there more than 4 proportional channels on the 2.4GHz Futaba 7 ch Radio?, lets say I wanted to control a pan and tilt robotic arm on the crawler. CR |

All that is needed is a 6 channel for Dual ESC's. A DX6 works well. But they are hard to drive and take a lot of practice. You can run dig's f/r with a DX3R and one ESC... Much easier and less likley to give you problems in a Comp. Do a search for Dual ESC's... |

| I maybe wrong. But the 3rd channel is only a 2 way switch. So No... You can run Rear Dig. Which is whats used 70% of the time. You maybe able to mod it like a TQ3 with a cheap 3 way switch from Radio Shack. Then it would work.

Ok Yes, correct, the Dx3s has a 3rd channel, but it is only a 2 position switch. normally used for rear dig. How would you wire a 3 position switch with the DX3s? Replace the 2 position switch with 3 pos.? So the 3 positions are:off - Dig front - Dig rear? |

It's a program thing, not an actual position thing with the DX3S. It won't work.
